The 20th Kurashiki Hiina Exhibition of Japanese Creative Dolls was held at Gallery Juro in Kurashiki's historic Bikan Quarter in Okayama Prefecture.
Invited artists and doll makers from across Japan presented a wide range of creative dolls, including ball-jointed works.
Ann Adachi co-organizes the exhibition with Tamasei. One-of-a-kind dolls, each shaped by an artist's distinct technique and vision, came together in the historic setting of Kurashiki.
The 20th exhibition ran from February 21 through March 1, 2026, and has now concluded.

Ann Adachi's ball-jointed dolls were featured in Scary Literature, a joint exhibition presented by the Kochi Literary Museum and Kami City Art Museum.
Twilight was shown at the Kochi Literary Museum, while Land of the Rising Sun was exhibited at Kami City Art Museum.
Approaching the idea of fear through both literature and visual art, the exhibition invited viewers to sense unease, stillness, and the presence of a story through the dolls' expressions and gestures.
Installation photographs and the exhibition flyers are preserved here as a record of the event.
